Celebrating an authentic paddock-to-plate philosophy in the picturesque Gold Coast Hinterland, The Paddock Restaurant on Binna Burra Road in Beechmont delivers unpretentious, wholesome fare celebrating local produce. This 15-hatted Australian Good Food Guide dining destination boasts a spacious dining area with lofty ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening alfresco to Hinterland vistas, while guests peruse a menu showcasing cooking over an open fire. Embark on a memorable culinary journey with Bay lobster, roasted capsicum, yellow squash, confit tomato and Warrigal greens; before delving into roast Wagyu rump cap, confit potato, grilled leek and white onion purée. Vegetarians opt for fire-grilled cos lettuce, Parmesan gnocchi, corn foam and saltbush seasoning; finishing with a peanut praline parfait.

A casual take on fine dining, the chef-hatted restaurant serves up seasonal creations for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The culinary team has created an à la carte menu which showcases the region’s finest ingredients, sourcing sustainable produce from the Scenic Rim and the surrounding region of South East Queensland.

Breakfast
Exclusively for house guests.

Lunch
12pm to 3.30pm (seated by 1.30pm) Wednesday to Sunday.

Bar
12pm to late Wednesday to Sunday.

Dinner
5.30pm to late (seated by 7.30pm) Wednesday to Sunday.

Lunch

Overlook the lush hinterland landscape while we dish up seasonal and locally-sourced produce, lovingly curated into meals that only add to the experience of staying at Beechmont Estate.

We’re all about making sure you’re well-fed and happy so let us know if there are any dietary requirements we need to make note of.

Lunch is available from 12pm to 3.30pm (seated by 1.30pm) Wednesday – Sunday.

Dinner

Dinner is prepared by our culinary team at The Paddock restaurant. We pride ourselves on taking the time to create meals that are both interesting and satisfying.

Our team is passionate about finding local produce and turning it into dishes to delight our guests. Start with an aperitif from our cocktail menu or choose from a range of Australian and international wines to sip on alongside your meal. Of course, we cater to vegetarian and vegan palates too.

Dinner is available from 5.30pm until late (seated by 7.30pm) Wednesday – Sunday.

Breakfast

Arguably the most important meal of the day, we want our guests to start the day relaxed, surrounded by the sounds of nature.

Our breakfast is available exclusively for in-house guests and is offered in The Paddock restaurant overlooking the lush scenery. We have done all the thinking for you with a daily chefs selection showcasing the very best local produce, so all you have to do is select a coffee or juice.

Breakfast is available to in-house guests only between 7.30am and 9.30am, Thursday – Monday.

Beverages

The bar at The Paddock restaurant is a luxurious yet casual spot to kick-back with a crafted cocktail, or glass of wine. We can create cocktails to your taste, or choose a classic from our extensive menu. The Paddock was recognised in Australia’s Wine List of the Year in 2025.

Solve the world’s problems over a red, read a book solo by the fire (with ever-flowing champagne), or whisper sweet nothings to your partner over an old-fashioned. Whatever your tipple – we’ve got you covered.

Executive Chef
Josh Childs

Born in Huddersfield, England, Josh Childs brings to Beechmont Estate a talent honed in celebrated kitchens across the UK and Australia. Inspired by early beginnings at Mustard and Punch and later shaped under Michelin-starred chef Nathan Outlaw, Josh is known for refined, fire-led cooking, flair for cooking with seafood and a respectful nose-to-tail approach. His experience spans Michelin-starred kitchens in the UK and the leadership of Morris Escapes’ Orpheus Island Lodge’s acclaimed culinary program. At Beechmont Estate, he champions Scenic Rim producers and designs menus that evolve with the seasons and daily deliveries, focusing on flavour, sustainability and a sense of place.

The Scenic Rim is one of Australia’s most celebrated food bowls, and we proudly partner with producers who share our values of integrity, sustainability and quality. Every dish begins with the people who cultivate and care for the ingredients we use.

Our Incredible Suppliers include Tommerup’s Dairy Farm, Australian Bay Lobster Producers, Stanbroke, Valley Pride Produce, Coastal Fresh, 4Real Milk and many more local growers in the Scenic Rim and beyond.
